Question Remove rear spring pads=LCA relocat. brackets?

For the guys that have removed the rear spring pads/isolators, (the old heater hose trick) have you found that the car being lowered that amount required the use of LCA relocation brackets to achieve optimum suspension geometry and traction? In my case, I will have all the other suspension components in place (Hal rears, Spohn drag bar, rod end LCA's, PHR, adjust. chassis mount T/A) and the car will be putting around 500-550hp to the tire so traction is already going to be scarce. My hole point (as silly as it seems, is to avoid welding anything to my Strange 12-bolt. But if that is what has to happen to get this thing to hook, so be it!

Thanks for any input.

I put relocation brackets on my moser 12 bolt with the heater hose mod, made no difference in the 60 ft time.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the reply. With the relatively small amount it actually lowers the car, I would think I could get away without them. Especially considering the adjustablility of the other components but....................

Seems to me it wouldn't be enough to adversely effect the over all geometry. As long as proper pinion angle was achieved and the rest of the suspension was set up for that days track conditions, I would think relocation brackets wouldn't be necessary IMO. Maybe MadMan or Mr. Billingsley can help?
