Torque arm question?

Torque arm question? When I was getting my trans built, I had the shop throw in a spohn adj torque arm. My problem is that before the new torque arm, I has using the oem ta and 26inch et streets, and managed a 1.5 60fts, now with the new torque arm and 28inch hoosier slicks, I could not get anything better thana 1.68 60ft. So Was thinking that the ta may need to be adj. since it was never adj since it was put on. I was told that the ta should of came with a level tyoe tool to adj the degree. But I do not have one. Is there another way to sdj the ta, or where can I pick the tool up, and what degree should it be set on?
This is the way I do it. And it seems to work. When you lift the car make sure its the same as it is on the ground. Load the rear suspension. Check your transmission angle. I got mine level. with the car. Then put a angle finder on the pinion yoke. Read the measurment. Then check it on the driveshaft. Set the rear pinion so there is -2 on the rear. You might want to check with madman or one of the other suspension guys to see how they are setting cars up.
