where am i losing power?
Just some thoughts.....
Gotta consider weight.
What's your race weight? What are the other cars w/similar mods/power weighing in at?
Where is the car making peak power?
Where are the shift points?
Is the car shifting at or above peak peak power? Gotta hit the shift points just right to keep the motor spinning high in the power band.
MPH seems pretty damn good for the mods/ power you're making.
ET is an indication of how well the car(and driver)are working(together).
How are you staging the car?
Shallow or deep?
A shallow stage will help mph, as you're getting a rolling "head start".
A deep stage will help ET, as you are "closer" to the finish line.
Tire pressure.... front tires aired up to decrease rolling resistance and roll out?
Staying in the "groove" for the entire pass(all the way down the track)?
Easiest(cheapest)way to chop ET is weight reduction. Try pulling the simple stuff for the track. Usually good for ~100lbs. which will net you a ~tenth in ET.
Lose the passenger/rear seats, passenger/rear seat belts & retractors, floor mats, and run on an 1/8th tank of gas and add fuel as needed.
Good luck!
