Default Is my trap speed okay?

With the mods in my sig this past weekend I ran a 12.0@114.92 mph with a 6 point chromoly roll bar, !spare tire and jack, !rear seat, and !front sway bar and half a tank of gas. The temperature was 69 degrees, humidity was 54%, and pressure was 29.81 in Hg. The previous week I had a best mph of 116.70 mph with a little cooler weather and almost no gas. Do these speed seem low for a car with 423 rwhp? I often read about cam only cars trapping 118-120 and running low 11s and the majority of my runs are 11.9-12.1@114-116 mph and my 60's are usuallly 1.65-1.70. Am I doing something wrong?

I've been having the same thoughts. On my near bald D3's I cut a 2.1 60ft last weekend and ran 12.9 @ 113mph. Tire spin killed the ET but I would think w 420rwhp I would trap higher than 113. It seems at PRP it's hard to trap over 114 where as Mason Dixon I usually trap 115-117. I think I could gain an easy 1-2mph just by going w a set of 4.10's. I'm crossing the traps in 4th at 5500rpms. With more gear I would think 6K+ across the traps would help out alot. 12 bolt w 4.10s and traction here I come...

I think I was talking to you this past Sunday at Island Dragway. (I was the guy with the black ss) It was only for a minute or so, then the lane started moving and it was the last run of the day, so we didn't get to talk that much. Anyway, nice car.

The only thing I can contribute is that Island tends to be a little slower than some of the other tracks around hear(atco, englishtown) It has a higher elevation. You could caculate the DA and see what your corrected time would be.

Your trap speeds should be good for mid 11's. Maybe wheelspin down the track was killing your et. I only ran twice that day, and I was spinning bad in second gear(street tires)Trap speed might be just the air and elevation, but it doesn't sound that low to me.
