28" tire too much for me?

28" tire too much for me? OK, I've been using 26 x 11.5 ET streets mounted on stock z28 wheels, and been having problems hooking up.
I'm getting some 15 x 10 prostarts w/ 3.5's up front. I'm going to be using M/T drag radials.
The car is cam only wi/ a 150 shot & 4k stall. Currently I hit the rev limiter in 3rd at about 135 and I trapped at 126 last time not spraying until the top of first gear. So, I've got some gear left w/ the 26" tires.
So, what do yall think? 26" or 28"?
