street racers that hook any of you guys actually laying down what you would percieve
a good launch on the street that you would compare to the same way your car does at the track?
what kind of suspension setups are running?

The car was packing the wheels leaving on a BFG drag radial. Now on the street I dont have a time slip but the car left with the tires the same height in the air and dissapointed alot of people "

We are working on it, but i cant see how it could be compered to a track, Have had big trouble 2005, slipping tranny, rear shocks went out, restalled the converter first to high then to low etc.

Stock rear shocks in the clips above,relocationbrackets, spohn torque arm, Qa1 in front.
This year new QA1 DA in the rear, spohn race swaybar and higer stall..
We have a lot of "streetracers" here (not F-bodys) and the cars that hook perfect/good on the streets have big problems on the track...
And the "track" cars have problems when they try the streets (se vette in the last movie)

Its an Opel manta http://www.mantaclub.org/archive/dechirure.htm dont know if its exported to USA
it has an ford V8 33xcui loaded with nitrous (stock engine was an 4cyl 1,9 litre) weight is 2250lbs (dont know if its whid or whidout driver) so its not much left of it...
Yea he was a little worried himself, he didnt use nitrous from the start after that race that night...

Mine is about 1.4 at the track on a small 75 shot and picks 'em up a foot. On the street, same thing with no adustments. It doesn't pick 'em up a foot, but a good couple inches and everyone who has seen it and been in it has said it feels like a dead hook on the street. it's only a 10.70 car though. Full BMR front k-member/a-arms, Spohn Torque arm relocated off the tranny, on a TH350 off a footbrake, 9" w/ 4.30's and spool, custom tubular LCA's and PHR with rod ends everywhere, and relocation brackets with the LCA's all the way down. QA1's all the way around, 2's on the front 6RR/5LR, torque arm set at -1.5*. On a concrete street with no VHT prep, it'll pull 'em maybe 4-5 inches(both). Forgot i have a Wolfe anti-roll single bar(rear sway bar)

raceweight is about 3350lb. on the street i've done it with a passenger when we were laughing at how much better the Hoosier QTPs hook compared to an ET Street. I run 28x11.5 QTP's.

TCT nitrous converter. not all that big. And yes, ALOT of noise, hahaha. The no power steering, spool, rod end rear suspension pieces, and the sway bar make it one tough ride, but who we kidding... it's a race car

when i had a '98 Z stock internal/4L60E, i had a vig3200 an stock 3.23's and completely stock suspension everywhere. stock shocks/springs everything. when running the slicks/skinnies with no front sway bar, it'd pick the front left tire up about 2" but not the passenger side. I just like having that sway bar keep the car EVEN. When i go up my driveway I can feel it push the one side up. I honestly got lucky. I didn't need much playing with it to get it to hook. I set the torque arm, and set the shocks and it was doing good. Now can it be better? i'm sure it can. i was running an LS1 (not LS6 even) intake, going off the footbrake instead of transbrake. at the track the 1.4's are with the 3.50 rear gear in the 9". I honeslty just got lucky and the car launches straight and semi hard. So in the end, I wouldn't say it was the saving grace of the suspension, but i won't have another car WITHOUT it.

There's a few that've just nixed the rear bar. You need a bag in the rear, of course. After nailing down the pressure (a bit higher than w/ the bar), the lack of the rear bar didn't seem to make any difference. You're not losing much in terms of weight compared to the front bar, but every little bit helps.

I have them on mine set at 50/50
