Default Hal front coilover help (springs)

I tried this over in the suspension/handling section with no help so I post it here and see if you guys can help.

I have a set of Hal f-series coilovers on my car for drag racing, but the Hal springs are to soft...I think 275's.
My question is can I replace the springs on the Hals with my DMS front springs I have laying around? What kind of modification needs to be done if any?

Yes you can but you may have to get a different lower spring cup or use the one of the stock shock and grind it so it can fit around the shock body and sit on the lower spring mount on the hals
