Question for chassis gurus on torque arm location?

Question Question for chassis guys on torque arm front mount location?

Of the three TQ arms lengths/styles:

Transmount W/relocation mount (long)

Tunnel brace mount (short)

Weld in mount... (mid)

What are the pros/cons for each front mount location of the torque arm? I am undecided on which to go with, all input with as much detail would be greatly appreciated!

ttt... For you, I have the same question as I will be upgrading my suspension soon too and would like to understand also. I am leaning towards a tunnel mount, I believe this will put less stress on the transmission. I installed poly mounts on my engine and trans (M6) and I can shift ALLOT better at the trackwithout the trans moving around under the car.

Just my thoughts.

Id like to know which different locations will work better for M6/A4?

Basically between the setup with a normal length and tranny relocation mount vs the shorter arm tunnel brace mount

This is the info I recieved from Madman. The tunnel mount hits the tire extremely hard and unloads the tire quickly. The midmount one if you get one that is adjustable is the best due to allowing you to move the instant center where you want it. The trans mount one doesnt allow enough instant center adjustments due to clearance issues.

My car is a street car that sees the track maybe three weekends per year for some bracket racing. I would like to get the car into the high 11's. Would someone chime in? MADMAN?
