3300lbs First Weight Reduction Ok finally got my car to a weigh station, it had been months and months that I wondered what my car weighed. I'm still depating how far I should go, probably not that extreme. But I at least did the easy suff first. !Rear Seats! and also tossed my Sub and Amp. Other than that its still full interior plus whatever upgrade mods Ive done. 3300lbs with no driver. I really want to get down to corvette weight range 3100 - 3200 lbs. I believe in stock form its 3554lbs rite? If so Ive shed 254lbs so far.
You guys think that, light weight battery, fiberglass hood and some sort of carpet mod would get me in the 3100 -3200lbs range?
In no way do I want to get rid of my Sound System and HVAC.
LAst thing, who makes a nice stock looking fiberglass hood?

Your car stock was less than 3400lbs if you do the math. VFN makes some good lite weight hoods. Have you thought about removing the front and rear bumper supports, Passenger air bag, door bars and brackets? All of that plus this carpet and a VFN hood should put you well below 3200lbs.
I never found an accurate weight for a 00 hardtop Z28, what do they weigh stock? Oh I dont think I will be removing the bumper supports Just in case. Passenger airbag sounds like a good one.
