Legal wheel stud ? Ok
We just finished installing the moser 9" with a strange center section. I ordered the 1/2 x 3" screw in studs and when we installed the prostars the studs do not come out beyond the end of the nuts. We are running a 5/16 spacer due to the factory calipers. We are running the full length wheel nuts so they are threaded the entire length. Will these pass tech or do I need to find longer studs.

The threads can still be inside the nut - they don't have to come through, but if you have 1/2" studs, they must protrude 1/2" in to the hex threaded portion of the nut (this means 1/2" past the washer, if you're running them). Both said the same thing in post #3 & 4, however #2 was worded incorrectly, saying it needed stick out the diam. from the rim...with washers used, as they should be, then it would be a little more needed than the dia.

They are only about 3/16 of a inch from coming out the end of the stud. If I understand the rule this should make it legal due to the hex portion is longer tha 3/4 of a inch.

There is a thickness limit on spacers, and IIRC it is about 1/4". But correct, spacers/adapters are not legal.
Alot of people tend to over do it when it comes to studs, that picture is direct from the NHRA rule book.
