Default Magnaflows off of Kooks headers!!!!!!

First off i wanna thank V6Mike (aka Mike Hutto) for reccomending these mufflers when i was lookin at spending over $100 more on the Borla's. I am AMAZED at how quiet these are.
Well i finally got my Magna flow mufflers in. I took off my bullets and clearenced under may car more than i already had for the bullets.
The mufflers are 4"tall, 9" wide and 18" long (22" total). They are a straight thru design just like the bullets, so there is no gain or los in power. But they are 1,000,000 times quieter.
I am so FREEKIN EXTATIC at how quiet the car is. It is about as loud as an LS1 with a mild cam and 3" true duals dumped at the axles. Shaun ("Z4 performance" i think)drove it around and said it is actually QUIETER than his true dual, X pipe dumped at the axle with twisters(full out cam only Trex car)!!!!!!!!!!!! And these mufflers flow ALOT better.
we went to Jake's "black98ls1" house and started his car up and it is 10x louder than mine (another full out cam only Trex car, with twisters off the headers). His car is a hair quieter than my car was with the bullets, it wouldn't even be worth the swap if you had bullets. But he said he is DEFINATLY getting the same mufflers!!!!
After clearencing under the car i actually have BETTER ground clearence than with the bullets! i can fit a whole coke can under the lowest spot and still have almost a 1/4" of clearence.
It doesn't sound as ALL OUT KILLER at idle like with the bullets (that and they are about 5 lbs heavier each are the only down sides) but it still sounds really good. To tell you the truth to me it sounds EXACTLY like a car with some 3" true duals dumped at the axle with bullets and a mild cam.
Inside its 100 times quieter too. And as soon as i start rollin it actually gets QUIETER! When it idles is prolly when its the loudest. Of couse though it still has that exhaust under the car drone inside but i don't mind that as long as oits not deafening loud like it was before. Hell i got on the highway and was doing 80 MPH (4,000 rpm's )and didn't even notice it! even driving by the wall it doesn't sound louder AT ALL! People at stop light didn't even roll up their windows when i pulled up to the light anymore.
I just tacked on the turn down incase it was too loud outside i could turn them facing in. But its perfect just like that so i'm gonna finish welding them Monday. Didn't get any pics of the passenger side, but that side was VERY easy. no clearancing at all. just slid the muffler on the header and added the turn down.
I will get a video/sound clip asap.

Man that is badass! I'm suprised at how little work you had to do to slip them under there.

Good work, and good hearing how they work out!

I'm going to be trying a full Magnaflow 3" system versus my current Flowmaster 3" system on the Nova soon. Sales guy at Magnaflow says another 10-15 horsepower should be there, and I guess I'll find out!

Let us know how track times go with the new set-up!

Told you the Magnaflows were quiet

I think mine are burnt out though. They seem to be a lot louder now than when I first put them on 2 years ago. I may just have to buy some more and dump them right off the header too

I think mine on my true duals have gotten a little louder as well. They still aren't bullet loud so I'll keep 'em.

Thats bad ***! I may do that later, but I'm still in love with the idle of the TREX and dumps, but I don't have to drive the car everyday either.
