Default T-56 launch technique help

I'm new to launching with a manual. Could anyone help me with a list of steps (and technique pointers to each) and "mental" checklist starting before the approach to line up? Everything on the '99 Firehawk is stock, and I just want to run it it's best without burning up any of the drive-line components.

What I do for the burn out is that I well be pushing the clutch using my left leg and my right leg for both the brake and gas. and I would release the clutch slightly then the brake slightly , this is in first gear with 3500-4000RPM range and make sure that u see a good amount of smoke so u make sure it sticks and holds good after the line.

Once u step on the line make sure your traction is off and lunch at 3000RPM using only clutch and gas( Dont worry the track surface is flat so the car went roll ), and you r good to go.

Practice on the burnout as u can before you go to track so u can be ready and not **** ppl and your self .

I wouldn't launch at 3000rpms if you are on street tires, you will spin like crazy or burn up your clutch.

I'd try and go around the water if you can. Do a small burnout, just enough to see a little smoke to clean the tires off.
If you have to go through the water then so be it, just do the same thing.
In either case, you should hold the brakes down after you start the burnout. I would think it would be very hard to heel/toe this car.

I would launch lower like 2000-2300rpms, letting the clutch out somewhat slowly. Don't dump the clutch.

I agree with 777. when running street tires, I do a small burn out as they really don't seem to hook that well after a big burnout. Now drag slicks or drag radials are different.

try going around the water box and then back up to the edge of the water and then do the burn out. the spotter will help.
