The BMR tensioner was what I was planning on doing.. actually I still have my power steering, but that will most likly go away when the K member goes in.

I have a 6.0L block so that doesn't fit very well. it doesn't provide any 'tension' either. I am not running a tensioner.

it more or less works, but doesn't fit right.

see the bolt on the left hand side of the bracket on top? there is no place for that to mount on the 6.0L.

I talked to BMR about that, they siad if you wanted to you could tap the block there. I didnt do it, I just made a bracket to get it to work.

I'm not exactly sure which bolt you are referring too.. The bolt seems like it's attached in the above pic, but is that an alum block, not a 6.0?

If that bolt has nowhere to go, is the bracket solid enough to hold the alt. in place?

the long bolt goes through the bracket in front and back and the alternator itself, the shorter one (on the left) is the one I'm talking about. there is nowhere on the 6.0L block for it to mount.

do what i did take the idler pulley off the alt. then grind the back of the alt. bracket and bolt the belt tensioner in from the back side where you ground down the bracket. Then installe one bolt in from the back side and let the other side rest on the bracket. Yes you will only have one bolt in it but the tension is always pulling it down becuse of the belt. Have put 3500 miles on it like that no problems and shifting at 6500. All the time.

I have some pics of this set-up in my sig if you would like to see them... Very simple install about 5 min with a grinder and I called it a day..Good luck.

Also I have a race pump and have takin 200 mile cruises at about 3500 rpm and my Temp wont go over 20 under what it used to run at before the race pump. hope that makes sense

Additional Notes:
The standard 35 GPM pump is suitable for normally aspirated engines up to 650HP. Supercharged, Turbocharged and high compression, high horsepower applications should use the 55GPM High Flow pump only. For the LS-1 you may need to consider the remote system and block plates to achieve a 55 GPM system

are they considering the HD race pump the 55GPM pump or are they saying get the street pump for TC/SC/ or high CR?

i want to know if they want me to get the street or HD race pump for my 408 procharger motor?

no the HD pump is not the street pump. the hd pump is is slightly bigger than the regular race pump and flows 40+gpm. I'm using it in my high compression 408 with no issues at all. they don't really say how much it will support though.
