Shifting at the track

Shifting at the track I finally got my car to the track this weekend, everything went well, except my motor seems to outrun the trans, it hits the limiter before it shifts in every gear. This has prolly been covered before but is this something that needs to be taken care of in the tune, or something else. It ran a 10.99 for the best time, but I think there is alot more left in it, especially if I could stay off of the rev limiter. Thanks

banging the rev I can't drag my 98 for the same reason. Belive me it is in the tune. I was told that the car was tuned to shift at a lower rpm but it still was hitting the rev at 6,500. I was told maybe my 2nd gear clutchs were worn out. One trip to a damn good transmission shop proved beyond a doubt that the CPU wasn't sending the comand to shift until it had hit the rev limiter 2 or 3 times. I am going to take it back to the dyno/hp tuner dude next saturday. The fix is suppose to be trial and error by lowering the shift points until they respond.
