header ? I can get a set of SLP for real cheap as I have manifolds on my car now. I have had mac midlengths and picked up 2 tenths from them but didnt like the raspity sound with my dual/dual muffler..Do you guys think I'll pick up more then 2 tenths with the SLP or will I be wasting my time with them I know installation is a bitch but I do have a tubular kmember which should make it easier. Or should I just save up for some other type like KOOKS // QTP//HOOKERS///etc.
I picked up ~3 tenths and ~3 MPH (7.81 @ 87 to 7.53 @ 90) from those Hookers I purchased from you with no tuning. After tuning I picked up 15 horsepower (314 to 328.9) and ran a little quicker (7.48 @ 90.2) but never got a clean pass before the tranny let go. For a SI motor, I cannot imagine going with anything but them. You had them on your car before so you know the gains from them. Your call but, as you know, the Hookers work extremely well.
Well I have the SLPs and am happy with them. Are you going to run their Y or TDs? Their Y sucks. I have a modified SLP Y with flowmaster merge and ground clearance sucks (I run skinnies so the front is pretty low)and I think it is hitting the floor (at least something is) but seems to flow good and sounds bad *** through the open 3.5" Y. I plan on going to the track for the first time in the new set-up on the 9th. I will post my numbers then.

Only if you get a killer deal on the SLP's. Too many hassles for my taste. But LTs are definitely worth it. Also, the raspyness may not go away. With my old setup (PS LTs, ORY, Dual/Dual) it was very raspy. I did not care for the sound of the D/D.

They are now the worst fitting and lowest power making headers on the market I think - they were good back in the day... I am currently running them on my car - they hang low, are a PAIN to get in, etc... get a set of Kooks and be done with it!
