how much of a diffrenece is possible in the 1/4 when switching from 3.42s to 4.10s im a crappy driver and my car is alot faster then i am. so imtrying to make up for driver error and put myself in the high to mid 12s. im at 13.1 w/ 2.1 60' right now.

Have you tried some sticky tires?

Looks like that might get you into the 12's. What are you traps?

tires first.
if you put the gears on first, you're more likely to spin then before... hook what you have, then put the gears in.

ive been trapping 108-109. and the 2.1 60' was on bfg drags.

BFG drags are good enough for consistant 1.7s on your avg fbody.. i ASSumed you were on regular street tires..

without seeing you go, i couldnt say if it was your launch or lack of weight transfer... to start with id ditch the swaybar the day before you goto the track.. so you can drive around and get used to it being off, then goto the strip... if you want to buy a mod, try some QA1s...




sorry if it seems off topic, i know you're talking about gears... im just thinking you need to do better with what you have first before you'll see any gains with the gear change... otherwise, when you do what you're doing now with the 4.10s, you're just going to spin harder.

I agree.

1.9 on drags with your traps isn't impossible. I'm doing that on nittos and in 8000ft DA trapping about 106.

You've got the power, get it to the ground first.

As dude stated, the problem is only going to be compounded with the gears.

What tire pressure are you running?
