Was considering a 29" tire b/c I'm running a tall gear and swapping in an A3, but don't think it'll clear w/out some more "massaging".

Now that's a pimp look. What did you do to lower the car, front or rear? My car's the same color and I have almost the same rims, bogart r/t's, but I have the welded ones, not the bolted, so that pic does alot of good to me. If you could get a pic of the inner wheel well with a tire off that would be awesome, that way I have some idea as to where to start. Did you have to do any hammering on the inner well, and did the rear bumper cover need any trimming? I think my rear cover will, but just the large lip part on the bottom, I'll have to trim that back to the same width as what it is on the top, noone will even notice that when the tires are on, stock size or the big and little's. Also, did you roll the upper part of the fender at all? Looks like it might need it.

JL- Thanx man....

I'll try to get some pics this week and shoot them to you. I did do a little clearancing(sp?)to the upper lip w/a rubber dead blow hammer but nothing extreme at all. Mainly just curled the leading edge of the lip upwards a bit.
Did trim the rear plastic bumper cover where you're describing and you're right.... it's not noticable at all.

12 way QA1/Hal R's with 325# springs in front, and the QA1 12 way/coil overs(150#'s)in rear. I've got it down a bit lower now than in those pics..... more like KP's car. I really like the adjustability of this combo for a street/strip car.

Haven't had any rubbing/scuffing issues since I centered up the rear left/right, fore/aft.

I seen someone on one of those bike building shows take the 'not for highway use' off of some slicks they were putting on a trike. Used one of those litlle sanders with a scotchbrite pad on it. I dont think I'll try it though..

SLowETz, its a suncoast raptor hood I think, it was on the car when I bought it.

I am the driver of the pewter SS in the infamous video now everywhere on the net of me getting cited for my QTPs.

In California, the tread depth must be at minumun 2/32 of an inch to be okay for street use. When they reach 1/32 they become illegal. If they are DOT approved, it does not matter if it says for highway use or not.....it is just Hoosiers disclaimer if someone spins off the damn freeway in the rain.

Hope this helps. Get QTPs, they hook hard and are street legal.

For the record, I got cited for: bald tires (fix-it ticket), and unsafe vehicle (non-correctable). I was pissed about the 2nd violation because it is equal to a speeding or stop sign ticket.....FOR MY COMPLETLY LEGAL TIRES. BS.

The SGT. of the dept. dropped the second charge and I just had chp sign my fix-it ticket for bald tires. He could not believe some cop cited me for that. He said this is a beautiful car! He also said that violation is for 1970 shitboxes with no windshields, or newer cars with no seat bealts (his words). He then went on to admire my ride.

Cool. I've already got the rear centered up and squared to the chassis, so I should be good with that. I also have hal R series fronts and 12 way rears, but am running the stock springs for now... shop I deal with went 8's with a few diffenent cars now all on stock springs, so I'm gonna leave them on for now.

Shoot me those pic's when you get a chance, I'd appreciate that!
