gearing with a th350 I am looking to pick up my 60'. I was wondering if I can run a 3.70 gear with a 28in tire and still run in the 1/4. What is the formula for top speed? Revs will be 6800.

Gear ratio x trap speed x 336 / tire size.
Example: 3.70 x 135 mph x 336 = 167,832/28 (inch tire height) = 5994 rpm. Add about 300 rpm for converter slip for an auto so about 6300 with an auto at 135 mph. This formula is dang close.
