Default tips for keeping engine cool?

hey guys. could anyone give me some advice on how to keep my engine at a constant temperature at the track? the motor on my LT1 is all stock. i run into consistency problems when the engine reaches 210 degrees. during the trial runs i spaced it out some and was able to keep it closer to 160 degrees. every time the engine stays a good bit below 210 i would run about 2 tenths faster than when it was right at 210. any tips besides throwing ice bags on the engine between runs? thanks for the help.

stay away from the icebag idea. water gets trapped around the intake then when you go down the track it runs off and gets on the track. Get an electric water pump. CSR and meizere makes one. If they have a fan switch for the lt1 cars invest in that as well. the best thing to do is open the hood and run the electric water pump and fan.
