Default t/a delete?

ok, i have a question and need some answers. i already did a search and didnt really come up with the answer that i was looking for.


ok, i am still running a 10 bolt and want to switch to a better rearend. only problem is that i AM NOT paying 2300 for a aftermarket rearend. plus i already have a 12 bolt houseing the right width for my car plus have the right axles. i can do the fab work of swaping all the brackets over to the 12bolt but the t/a is where the problem is.

so what my plan is, to use a ladder bar setup that just replaces the lower control arms and uses the stock brackets in the stock locations. i jsut dont know how the car will hook with this kind of setup. my mods are in the sig, and the car hooks VERY good right now.

i have already priced everything i need to put the 12 bolt together and it all comes up to about 500-600 bucks.

My Firebird Stock Eliminator car has Pete-Z bars. They work very well with the factory torque arm and aftermarket torque arms that I have tried. I did some test runs without the torque arm and found that the car hit the tires way to hard for my liking. If you want to put your car on it's bumper this would probably work, but I think that it would also be hard on the front mounting point of the trailing arms.
I have seen a car that ran a torque arm adapter that mounted betwean the housing and the cover. Maybe that would be a solution?
