9 sec. options..advice please A good friend of mine is shooting for 9's. He has a 95 Trans am, and is not opposed to going turbo or SC. I suggesting he spray the car, as it's on a budget. I know there have been LT's in the 9's, but what are the other options?
From what I hear, the LSX swap requires a new k-member, rack, computer, harness, and other things.
He was also asking about possibilities of a big block. Carb? EFI?
He plans to go with a 9" and either a glide or a turbo 400.
I should also mention I suggested selling the car and getting into a 98+, but he's opposed to doing that, so what are the engine options?

A good suspension and a 383 with a 250 shot will get him in the nines.
