I'd just run open longtubes if it was just a track car...the less weight the better.

Sounds good to me. I've got mufflers on mine and I love it, car isn't too obnoxiously loud and it sounds great.

i'm running kooks 2" headers with 3.5" collector and a 3.5" bullet on each header with a turndown (pointed OUT towards the rocker panels and a little down) all clamped on, no welds.

i would also consider a 4" mufflex setup if you're not worried about losing a FEW hp to the wheels due to the exhaust. this is what i'll go to once i finally go boost later on in life...

Edelbrock headers, 3.5" collector extension that came with the headers, 6" dynatech spitflow and a turndown pointed out and down. It's loud but efficient. I used the collector extensions so that I can get a good read from the front O2s.

i would run open headers but you have to have mufflers to run in the NHRA! gay as rule! lol but how much extension off the headers do i have to have for it to be safe on the o2's?

My buddy has those header cones on his roots blower car, he loves them,
claims he didn't lose any ET and he pass's S/C noise check.

Then you can use the extensions and knock down a few DB.

The guy with the single, that looks good, great job.

What size is that intermediate pipe?
Im doing something very similar... Im using a modded pacesetter y-pipe that merges to 4"... Im going back with the 4" into a dynomax bullet and a turndown just like yours.

I would go for 2 maxflow hooker mufflers after LTs.
