Who will win/ estimate time Have a buddy doing a STS kit on a 2000 TA, the car has a 9 " now but only a 3.73 gear, ls6 intake, someone's old hand ported throttle body. thats about it on mods. he says he thinks he will get almost 500rwhp, and is hopeing to beet me.
so my question is, what do you think it will run in the 1/8th.
Keep in mind he says he will not launch it higher that 4500. (his launching/ driving is questionable, anyone can hit 2nd and 3rd first gear is whee the race is.)

I will be running my ET streets, 16 X 10.5 and launching off a two step at 6000rpm's
he does not have tirs as of now, so i know i can win, if thats the case. and street tires vs. street tires. i will beet him too. just wonder if he hooks on a slick and i hook on a slick. where we would be, i have alot more gear, and my car revs alot faster .

haha I know i hate talking about it too but need to get some idea from someone with there car set up like his or close. no matter what i will run him. hell i have raced him and his brother more than anyone else.
If he hooks...he will probably take you. Good chance that he may drive around you if he doesn't hook as well.
His car (if his predictions are accurate) should be making quite a bit more power than yours....and if he hooks....then you tell me how it would go down?????

I know a car with more power should be faster but HP is not the only thing in drag racing. hooking, gearing, how you launch the car, suspension, weight. there are alot of other factors. and i can try and make a good judgement of what i think he can do, i need to know what a car is capable of set up like that. His car is capable of more now, but he is the limiting factor. I have never seen him run faster than a 8.8, and a 60' never better than 2.2. Thanks
