I was quoted $750, then left with over $1,000 invoice/charge. The place that did mine also did a crappy job of putting the car together, and half my stuff did not work. Never take an LS1 to a Ford Performance shop to do the work!!
I just today ordered a six point from wolfe in mild steel with swing-outs (driver & pass) for my 2002 SS convertible. Roll bar will take four to five weeks to make and I am picking it up myself, friend and I are installing it. I ask about them installing it and wolfe has a five to six month waiting list for them to do. 6 point roll bar $289.00 Swing-outs $170.00 Notched $100.00 Total $559.00
caddobass, Wolfe ALWAYS has a huge wait list for cages. some how i got very lucky and called early in the week about mine, and it was in their shop by thursday...don't know how i fit in a little hole like that but i did. for what its worth they don't do many cage installs these days, to busy making other parts. BUT, if you want to have the rollbar installed while you are here in DFW, i can give you the number of one of Wolfe's former employees that does cage work now on his own. let me know if you want his info...
BTW, you guys getting swingouts... i have been in/driven cars with both solid bars and swingouts, and i really find it easier to manouver in a car with solid bars. the swingout was always in the way getting in/out of the car etc. just my opinion, but i've been in several with either setup.
