Default Would this make it lighter?

If the floor from front to back was cut completley out and replaced with chromoly tubing plus tin and the whole front of the car in front of the firewall was cut off and relpaced with chromoly tubing?

or is the unibody lighter than what the tubing would replace?

Also what about NHRA rules for this as far a bracket classes goes?

your best bet unless your trying to fit a certain class... would be to build a full blown tube chassis car...

Probably true. I wouldn't think that if it was lighter....that it would be all that much lighter.

Probably not worth the hastle...considering I have never heard of anyone else doing it to save weight. But then again what the hell do I know.
