Mad Mans Steering Rack Need Advice,
Do you feel this addition has helped your car? I know you lose 13 to 14 lbs. and don't have to worry about fluid leaks.
How hard is it to steer with 3.5" wheels on the front? The wife and kid drive the car alot at the track and I want them to be able to steer the car.
It would be great if someone had a before ET and MPH and then had an after ET and MPH!

If you drive the car with skinnys all the time it not a problem on the stock rack. If you have a smaller dia steering wheel it gets a little more stiff, but still doable. If you have stock rims on the car it will be very tuff.
I agree, I do that most of the time with the skinnes on a track that has alot of room at the end of the turnaround area for the return lane.

I won't have any before and after but my madman rack just got shipped so i'll have some install photos and initial "thoughts" on how it feels to steer with skinnies on the front (15x5's).... how were you thinking about hooking up your power rack??? U your fittings into each other or leaving the whole thing hooked up??? I think you'll lose more than 15 lbs cause you can get rid of the entire passenger side steel for the PS pump, and A/C compressor and go to a low mount alternator..... that's gotta be worth at least 20-30lbs....

it's not that bad.. there are other manual steering racks that allow you to run other rims other than skinnies.. But what's the point of getting a manual steering rack and not ruinning skinnies? Go BIG or go home!

OK hold the phone. Please tell me that a 15"X5" Pro Star with a back space of 3.5" will work with this kit.
I use 15" X 3.5" Pro Star at the tack with a 1.75" back space.
Just want to make sure before I move forward with this.
