Default 2 questions about this coming spring/summer...

One is, I'm just wondering what you guys think I might run this coming spring/summer. This last fall I went to the track for the first time ever I ran a 13.1@106 with a lid, LT's, ORY and Hooker Catback. When I ran that one i was on the Eagle F1s that came on it in '00. I could only launch at about 1400 rpms before I started spinning. I am planning on doing a couple things for sure, and maybe some others, but I'll just tell you what I'm doing for sure. I already debaffled my hood and am in the process of sealing it. I put in a Shaner S2 throttle body and an LS6 intake manifold. I am planning on putting in a stall thats about 3200 or so, and then getting some drag radials/slicks. So basically, I ran a 13.1@106 with the lid and exhaust, stock tires and launching at 1400rpm. The spring/summer I will have that and then the debaffled/sealed hood, S2 throttle body, LS6 manifold, ~3200 stall, drag radials/slicks. I'm just wondering what you guys think I'll be able to run when I get to the track for my second time ever .

My second question is if you think I will need a better rear end anytime with those mods? Or will I not need to until later on when I do my pulley/cam swap?

Thanks

Oh, and there's a possibility I'll installing some new shocks and torque arm too if that makes much of a difference.

I see with the new mods around 12.5-12.6 depending on weather, sixty foot and couple other variables!

As for the rear ens you never know! I am still on stock rear end with everything you listed plus a big cam 4400 stall and 410's cutting 1.57 sixty's! its up in the air with the 10 bolt!

Wow, ok, well it looks like I'll be waiting till I stick the cam in to change the rear end. Has anyone heard of the TA Rear End Girdles, or if they are any good or worth it? I was reading about one in magazine (don't remember which one) and they seemed to like it, but I think I would trust it more coming from you guys.

do yourself a favor.. don't spend a cent on anything for the 10 bolt. When it breaks, get a good rear and use the $ for that. You can girdle the rear all you want, the 10 bolt is still a 10 bolt, and belongs in a 4 cyl s10 pickup only.
