What to look for in a single layer fire jacket???
What to look for in a single layer fire jacket??? I am getting a new fire jacket. What is the differences in matterials? I see things like Proban or Nomex is one more confortalbe than the other.

So which one is softer? I have a proban jacket and I have to get a new one. I am wondering if the nomex is any more softer or is it just like the proban? Also I noticed that Gforce's jacket says it is flame resistant cotton. Is that the same thing as proban?
I guess I will find out soon. I ordered a nomex jacket.
The place where I bought it said the comfort was about the same but the nomex was way better at fire resistance and that nomex is pemently fire resistante and proban was not and proban could lose its fire resistance without a sign by wearing as sweating in it and alos by being washed.
