12 bolt gear help!
12 bolt gear help! i run a strange 12 bolt with a spool, and ive been looking for a 3.42 gear for it but have had no luck! keep in mind it would have to be a 4 series gear. (not interested in running a posi or locker.)
now i have heard people like harlan and others say that someone makes it but i cant seem to find them.
any help?

You will not find a 3.42 gear for a 4-series. Only gears are 3.73 for a 4 series -- I have looked, called Mosier, etc. I recently switch to 9" - sold the 12-bolt with the 4 series gears and spool. I bought a 3 series spool (from an LS1 Tech member) for the 12-bold (at least that what I was told, never did install it to find out for sure). Was going to go 3.5's but now I don't need the spool.

That what was told to me - 3 series spool, 33 spline - the guy I bought it from has like 3000+ posts. Like I said I never installed it. Looks like in near perfect condition. I would have to check with my builder if he thinks we need it before I commit to selling it. I bought it for like $75-80 shipped. If you want PM me, I'll find out tomorrow if you want it. Not positive it will fit - only going off what I was told.
