Which water pump should I get???
Which water pump should I get??? I am thinking about getting an electric water pump but can't decide which one to get. This car is drag race only with no heat. 98 camaro.
There are three differnt pumps. street=place for heater hose race=heater hose delete
1- 55gpm street pump
2- 40gpm race pump
3- 35gpm race pump
This car makes laps around the dragstrip. me and my grandfather double up in 3 classes each. So this car is running down the track just about nonstop sometimes.
My concern is I want to keep the car cool as possible which the stock pump does fine but I want an eletric pump so I can cool it in the lanes. I figure one of the race pumps would work since I will be able to run it with the car off but sometimes I don't have time for that. I just wonder if the 40gpm would work for this. right now the heater hose is just looped.
What do you thinK?
Also if doing power steering delete can I just use the alt. adjutable bracket and not run the belt on the tensioner or the wp and only from alt. to balancer?

I have this one on my car. Works VERY well and only weighs 5lbs.

I have ran this one 3- 35gpm race pump on the street and track without any issues.I also I going to use the same 1 on my LS1 Sand Rail.Don't waste your more on the others...
