I love the helmits look personally...course that is why i bought it! I think if the guy in the other lane looks over at you in that, they are goina sh*t lol. Course everything on my car is black, the car, the cage, the firejacket lol
you can get a "cheap" helmit that is rated at SA00. That helmit will be good until 2010 i think? I bought a SA06, which means it'll be good until 2017.
"Legally" anything faster than 13.99 (NHRA) requires a helmit. Running 13's I never wore one. When I got into the 12's I wanted one just to feel safe.
Now this year I'm shooting for low 10's so I got the helmit, cage, and a couple of 5 points are coming up soon
I figured the money I spend on the helmit is worth it incase I kiss the steering wheel or the wall.
but I did a lot of shopping around. RCI seems to be the cheapest in price, and if you get a SA00 rating, it'll be a little cheaper on price

Yeah, I bought it because they won't let me in my usual tracks now because I don't have a v6 anymore.
You can prolly pick up a cheap one at a car show, or mabye online somewhere. Search around on here, I am sure there is something about cheap helmets
