Default flaming river manual rack question

I have a flaming river manual rack and bumpsteer kit and I am having problems getting the tie rod ends to adjust far enough out. Is it possible that the adjuster (tube with 2-bungs on it that you twist to let the end out) is too short? I only have a bout 3/4" of threads still in the tube.
What am I doing wrong?

Is the caster and camber set?? If not then there is your problem. If it is set then how long are your adjusters?? They should be 6" long.

caster and camber not set...everything on the k-member is slotted...So..I guess I will have to get a 4-wheel alignment before I know for sure then...Thanks Madman for answering my "dumb" questions
