It all depends on what your wanting to do with the car. Drag race only? Street/Strip?

If you want a track car then run a TH400 or a Powerglide. I wont run an auto because I like banging gears on the street.

I voted for the TH400 if you want to have it for the strip.

obviously there is only one good choice out of your poll. If your tranny is f'ed then you need a new one, not suspension or nitrous.

If you have another car that you DD then i would go auto. It will also be eaiser on your 10 bolt then an M6 car, unless you get a transbrake.

i love my car with an auto, the best mod ive done yet

I am also thinking about this, but i was wondering how bad is it driving on the street with a TH400? i know it all has to do with your gears and tire combo. How many of you guys daily drive your car with TH400? How small of a gear would i have to run to be suitable to drive my car out of town and stay under 2000rpm?

the 10-bolt won't be NEAR as much to worry about if you go auto. It's like killing two birds with one stone. For a while anyways

+1. I'll give up some speed down the track for a lot more enjoyment on the street

I've considered going with a th350... but then I think how much convertor I would need. I just have no desire to drive a car on the street with a 4000+ stall to match my high rpm cam. Id rather deal with the 6 speed and bang some gears. 9 inch will be in my near future though

I'll be the first one to admit, the TH400 is not as much fun to drive on the street since I converted from the m6, but it DOES shine at the track
