Subframe questions

Subframe questions Hey guys,
I don't know what forum this should go in, but drag racing seemed like a good one. I'm looking at getting some SFCs as slicks are in my near future. Now, I had originally planned on tubular, weld-in, mild steel SFCs from UMI or Spohn. I've never heard anything good about the KBs, and I hear they're not being made anymore anyway... however, I'm now seeing UMI has a "webbed" version like KB did (pic).
Does anyone have any experience with these or similar SFCs? Do they actually provide a significant amount of additional strength, or is it just added weight and cost? Any issues with exhaust setups or aftermarket torque arms?
