Default 0-60 not good, need advice

I haven't ever ran my truck @ the track, but I'd certainly like after I finish my move to a town where there happens to be a track close by. I was playing around doing a 0-60 run with my truck, and I was a little disappointed with a 6.70 sec time. I'm trying to gauge just how bad my lack of traction is killing my times. I've got brand new goodyear forterras and a 3000rpm stall so its pretty easy to spin them but hard to know that money I just spent is spinning off them when I do break 'em loose. Because of this, I tried to baby into the throttle to avoid spin. I know that 60' times are pretty important for getting down the other 1260' of track quickly, so I tried to simulate that by marking how long it took me to go to 20mph, which was 2.44 seconds. So, that leaves me with a 4.26 second 20-60 time. Is coming out of the hole my issue, or am I at about what it should be?
