Default Another 25.5 build

Well, got started the other day with a 25.5 build on my 98 Z so figured I would throw some pics up along the way with how it is coming. So, here some are The work is being done by a local shop called Alumifab. The cage is all moly and should hopefully be done by the end of the month

Lookin good. Just curious what a 25.5 build costs. If I decide on a cage I mite as well get it done. That way, as it gets faster I don,t have to keep taking it back to a chassis shop. PM me the cost if u don,t mind. thanks. Does Alumifad have a web site.

I've got about 2600 into my 25.5 + extras, thats with my labor. Basically I purchased a 10 point kit that could be upgraded to a 25.5 and instead of waiting I just went 25.5. The basic kit was about 2k and the 25.5 bars were another 600 BUT for the inital 2k I got:
10 point cage
Upper and lower rear control arms
Sub frame connectors + torque box reinforcement plates
Travel limiter kit
Parachute mount + release
Window net kit
Rear sway bar + mounts and harware
Jig notched

When I upgraded they sent me all of the extra bars I needed to go to 25.5
Funny Car Cage
Driver X Bar(already had rocker bar)
Passenger X and rocker bar
All of the under car bars

Looking good! It seems like 25.5 LSx 4 Gens are becoming very popular

What kind of powertrain setup is going into the car... what class is it being setup for... any ET goals?

Just your standard ls1 setup. Seeing cars like yours and the others kinda made me turn in this direction, especially since it's a t-top car and would hate to roll it. No class specifically but should fit in a couple and for et's.....don't know yet

Close, but we have the sfi 25.5 book out and are just following that to a T. Just alot of bars are there, hopefully the car stays nice and stiff and protects my *** in case of the worst case scenario

there are alot of bars you don't need on 25.5 (compared to 25.2) when you have a unibody car. You've added some of them...but its all in the name of extra safety
