Default What kind of things should i expect

i am about to go for the first time ever to the track. I was wondering what can i do to be better prepared for it. I have a 1998 T/A with just an exhaust-(m6). i recently just bought some 255/50/r16 bfg-force sports. how should i launch. and what kind of time should i look for. Any help would be great. Oh and should i change the tire pressure?

my 98 Camaro went 13.3 with lid/exhaust and shifter. BFG sports aren't going to help you anything and they're too skinny. Get a better tire and you can atleast then hope it hooks. Drop the tire pressure a bit, but it isn't going to really matter.
