It depends on where your peak power is at. Look at your dyno sheet. Typically you want to set the light 500rpms past peak hp. Then fine tune it from there. -Mark

Mine is set about 200 rpm above peak power to account for reaction time to the light.

Always shift after peak HP. Never Peak TQ. They will most always cross at 5200rpms. So if you peak at 5700 try shifting around 6200ish. -Mark

Looking at that Dyno sheet, your power stays reletivly flat from 5400 to 6150, aside for that small dip at 5800. You should get your tuner to get rid of that slight drop off.

After that I would shift the car at 6150RPM. You should want your shift point to be at 6150. So you will need to adjust your shift light to account for your reaction to it, and the time it takes you to shift. The better you are, the closer to 6150 you can set the light.

For example, I drove a couple bolt on cars with stock 6150 rev limiter. The owners had the lights set anywhere from 5600 to 5800rpm. I set the light for myself in their cars for 6100rpm. That gave me a 50rpm buffer. I never hit the limiter. I ran 11.73 in one and 11.70 in another.

My car has a limiter at 7200rpm. My light is set to 7000. On the EFILive Data logger my shifts are between 7000 and 7050rpm every time. With practice you do it too and need less leway from the shiftlight.

Got it, thanks guys! I'll set it for 6100 and see what happens. My limiter has been bumped up to 6400.
