Default Traction/Suspension Help

Looking for advice on how to set the car up to get more traction. I believe I have all the suspension components, but I cant seem to get it to hook on the spray.

I have the spohn chassis mount torque arm,BMR extreme drag swaybar, 90/10 qa1s on the front, CE drag shocks on the back, stock springs in back, qa springs in front, spohn lcas.

Heres a video of my latest run (dont mind the tranny slip)
www.fast-ta.com/xvidoes/mm5112007_runs.wmv

The first run the nitrous setup was 115 shot starting at 3600 and progressing to the 150 by 4200. Tires (qtp 27x10.5x15) were at 16psi.

The second run was a 45 shot with no progression and the rear tires at 11psi.

The third run was a 90 shot with no progression and rear tires at 11 psi.

I would like to spray the full 200 shot out of the hole, but with launches like the first run, i just dont see it happening. What psi is everyone else running in the qtps? The car runs 10.65 on motor. LS2 402. I would also like to start using the transbrake, but again if i cant get traction on a foot brake...

I see alot of you guys with much more power launch straight as an arrow on big nitrous shots.

Any advice is appreciated!

IMO you've move beyond QTP. You need to move up to a slick OR the M/T ET Street Radial. On nitrous running Hoosier 30x10.5x15R, the SS (stock bottom-end) would cut low 1.3 60' at 10.16-17 on 150 shot - out of the hole. I personally never have run QTP so Before you change tires, Have you:

1) Removed front sway bar - better weight transfer
2) Changed shock settings - it looks like you have tried different tire pressure
3) Run at a different track - does your track have a history of good/bad traction
4) TQ arm at about -2*
5) Corner weighed the car

2nd and 3rd passes looked steady - a little slow but straight; 1st one looked kind-of nasty

Just some thoughts. Good luck

David

thanks David. The front swaybar has been removed for awhile. In general the car has always dead hooked. In fact prior to the nitrous it was amazing how straight the car launched. Torque Arm is at about -2. The tire pressure seemed to help it hook the last 2 runs, but the amount of spray was 1/2 of what the first one was. Is 11psi in qtps safe?

quick follow up on this. I am still using the stock PHB. For a straight drag car is there a reason to upgrade it? I was always told it only effects cornering (which hopefully i wont do alot in the 1320)
