Default what skinny tires...

i usually run MT Drag radials and i've heard your not sapose to mix radials and bias ply tires....

im looking at the SR radials by MT which are about 160 each
or the sportsman 8ply which are 100 each....

have any of you guys had problems driving the far end of the track or the highway with the bias ply and radial mix?

thanks,

Tyler

I use the Kumho 165/80/15 radials. $37 a piece at Tire Rack. I had them on my back '00 for two years and trapped 126-128. I used them again with my '99.

I use the sportsmans with MT DR's. I wouldn't recommend the cheapie radial skinnies with the iron block. Mine looked flat all the time. They really aren't rated to handle the weight.

To hell with the dont mix radials and bias ply debate. I run MT 325/50/15 on the rear and MT Front Runners 26x4.5x15's on the fronts. I have done this setup many time and have never had a problem at the track or while out cruising.

i'm pretty sure its more of a problem when running radials up front (factory tires/size) and bias ply rears.

I run the Mickey Thompson Sportsman 8-ply up front with ET streets out back. They have worked good for me at the track and on the street.
