the effects of heat on a car
well i have done a few things to get my car down the strip faster but due to hot weather[90-95f in the sun] im runing slower.
my best street tire time is 13.1@106 and i have recently added an ajustable ta and a set of nitto drags now on the 13.1 run it was about 78-80f outside with [i dont know how i hooked] a 1.9 60ft so with the new parts and it being 10-12degrees hotter i pull the same 60ft and only run a 13.3@103 so i lost almost 3mph and run 2tenths slower and that was my best run. so can it being hotter outside make such a big differance? i know the car seemed a little slower and i went to the track hopeing to break 12's so maybe i have to wait for a cooler night.
overall traction is much better with the new parts and tires so whats up?
im going to be adding some stuff soon and it will be eather a ls6 manifold and 80mmtb or maybe a 100 shot dry kit[im a little scared lol]
let me know your thoughts on it
