Launching an A4

I was wondering what the best way to launch an A4 is. I'm about to take my LT1 to the track for the first time and I need to practice my launch, but I don't know the best way to. The car has a 2800 stall with 3.73's so I currently have tried stalling it at around 2000 and just punching it after I take off, but just spin all the way through 1st into 2nd.

No. You do not need slicks for a stock LT1 car. You just need a set of mickey thompson drag radials.
