Helmet? I need a new helmet. The rules have me confused as to what I need.
The rules state most drivers can use SNELL K98 ,M2000 ,SA2000,M2005,or SA2005 specifications.
Professional categoryand some alcohol burning vehicles require an SA rated helmet. I have read advertisement to the contrary that the m helmet is for
motorcycles and SA is for automobiles. I am completely confused and would
appreciate some clarification. The only thing I know for sure is I can't use my old SNELL95. I will be running at Gateway International Raceway ST. LOUIS Thanks for any help.

SA helmets use fire retardent materials in the liners where M helmets generally don't.
The M rated helmets are less expensive because of this. If you don't mind the non
nomex liner melting to your face in a fire you can save a bit of money,your choice.
