Went 91.02 mph in 1/8! Question?
Welp just got my Moser 12 bolt in with a locker and some real tires 28/12.5/15
MT ET Streets. I changed the gear to 3.90's probably dropped 30 pnds with my skinnies up front still running 6 speed.
Will my mph pick up or go Down?
I know my ET will be lots better I could not even leave the line in 1st gear I had to feather it or just throw it in second to get traction. I drove the car around 2nite to make sure tires were not rubbin and just does not feel as quick. I know I have a 28' tire and it will feel like each gear is taller. I am wondering if I should have stayed 4.11 or lower? Maybe its just me not realizing with that much taller of a tire it will not feel as if it has as much torque as it has? The MF'er won't blow the tires out now though.
Everyone says I should be hitting 7.70's if I can get my 60' down to 1.6's What do yall think?
Car may hook better and get through the powerband quicker if you can make it all stick so that may bring some of the mph back, but only way to know is take it back to the track and see what she does!

If you go up in tire diameter you need more gear. I would run a minimum of a 4.10 with that tire.
BTW nice car.

Nice car too.
Nice car too.
You engine dynoed it?
My old combo was a 355 with ported stock heads and a small cam, 6 speed and a 4.11 gear. It ran 8.00@90 mph in the 1/8 with a 1.90 60ft. I guessed it was making 380 rwhp. It weighed 3750 lbs with me in it. Totally stock suspension I had to roll it out.
