need more down low
Out of the hole the car is a major pooch. I dont have an internal stop watch, lol. But it feels like a good second before it gets up to the powerband and really goes. Tried torquing it way up and tried flashing the converter but was still a pig. Once it gets up to 4500-5000 it runs its *** off. Not really sure what to do to get it out of the hole better. Bigger stall, trans-brake, or maybe it just needs a 75-100 shot off the line.
Trying to look at other peoples setups. Nitrous or a transbrake would be ABOUT the same cost to do. Would rather do the transbrake, if i knew for sure it would fix the problem.
th350, 3200 stall, 3.70 gear, 9" rear, 27/10.5 et streets, procharger @ 5lbs, 234 242 .598 .610 114lsa cam, bolt ons, lcas, ph bar, subframe connectors, umi tq arm. Went to 1/8th track other night. Best 60' was 2.0 & wasnt spinning. Major pig out of hole till it gets up to the powerband. Advice?

I going to go out on a limb and say it's your cam.... the supercharger will mimic the na tq curve to a point. You have lots of overlap and are bleeding off alot of boost down low.
you might want to pully the blower down so it comes on herder and use a restrictor on the inlet to control the boost. The vette guys do it on the t trims and ysi's when they want instant power but can't handle 14-15psi up top.

This is cam is very close to the one that a Sponsor on here recommend for procharger setups. But if i did go with a different cam i could then use the 2.02 1.60 ported heads i have laying on the shelf. Decisions Decisions.

recommend a blower cam for stock cubes & my setup? would my current cam be better for 382 w/blower. i like the idea of changing cams for now and use my ported heads.

That cam is definately big for what you have. We have one car making over 650rw and coming out of the hole in the air foot braking it at only 10 PSI Max Boost.
His cam is much smaller then yours
You Should listen to Alex. You need some thing to Capitalize on what you have or want to use

It's a Transmission Specialties converter. It is alot tighter than the tci's i've used in the past. How much different is powerband of the car going to react to more boost? Seeing 4-5 now. Would like to see 8-10.
Im going to log a few 1.4mile passes on the 18th. See if theres anything odd in the tune.

...am i going to run into problems with 4000 stall pushing tires across through the beams if i torque it up? If that happens will need a transbrake and current stall MAY be enough off the brake.
