Default Tire size to rear end gear question... going to track for first time with new setup.

So i'm just about ready to hit the track with the new setup. I'm buying tires tomorrow, but here's the question...

Right now my 12bolt has 4.11's in it. I plan on trapping around 128 - 130 This is screaming to me to get 26" slicks. That will put me right over the line at 6800 rpm 128 mph in 4th.

If I go with a 28" tire, I'll be hitting the traps at about 6300 - 6400rpm 128 - 130mph in 4th. I was thinking about going with a 28" cause i'll be spraying pretty soon, which is gonna put me way over 130mph, and I don't wanna shift into 5th ovbiously.

Whats that extra 500 rpm gonna cost me time and mph wise? My power peaks at 6300rpm and torque at about 5200rpm Power doesn't start dipping til about 6700... Maybe it wont really cost me anything cause ill already be at my peak? Any help here?

Thanks,
Jeremy

I would go with a 27 or 28" tire, it will be easier to hook and allow for room to grow on the spray.

so your asking what would be a good tire to go with with keeping the 4.11's and not taking it over what 6700rpm?
and you want to trap what? 140?

a 28" tire in 4th gear with 4.11's at 6700 rpm is 136mph
