break in time!!!

I finally got my new 408 motor started, its mostly a track car only, you guys have any suggestions on how i should break in the motor before i get it tuned and run this bitch

After a warm up, check for leaks, then do a few easy dyno pulls to 5000-5500, then give it hell.

I agree with wicked.. After it reaches operating temp. get it on a dyno for a few pulls. The dyno will keep a load on the engine, and the rings will push out to the cylinder walls and form a nice seal. Just be sure to change the oil after dynoing and breaking in the engine. This is exacltly how I just broke in my new engine. I now have just over 200 miles on it and it runs awesome, and doesnt burn a drop of oil. By the way you should take that beast up to RSD @WIR. If not, next year Ill be bringing mine down to GLD for RSD a few times.
