Re: oil change/drag racing well i usually do. I get gas peddle happy on the street too, so i usually change my oil every 1,000-1,500 miles. i don't think u have to change it that often but it don't hurt. I also use mobil 1

Re: oil change/drag racing I switched from Mobile One to Royal Purple then just recently switched to Red Line. All oil is 5w30 full synthetic. I also just switched to the k&n oil filter. I use the long version in my SS and the short in my WS6. I got a nice increase in oil pressure with the oil/filter switch too.

Just what i was thinking.I noticed my oil starts to change color after about 1000mi.Makes me want to change it when i notice it getting darker in color.
Does that mean it's starting to break down when the oil color starts turning darker?

Re: oil change/drag racing I change my oil every weekend. 
10w30 and a new filter. How do ya think I got over 350 passes last year and the only thing that I did to the motor was change the oil and put racing fuel in her every weekend?

Re: oil change/drag racing I was hoping to hear from the Coach on this one.Thanks for the response everyone.I'm going to go look for a couple of cases of oil and some filters,maybe i'll try the K&N oil filter.
