Default Cutting out front section of shock tower.

Is it safe to cut out the front section of the shock tower if you don't have bars in the engine compartment?

What other things can you cut out from the firewall forward to reduce weight without a cage?

If you don't have a front bumper support you can cut the frame horns off. I have seen them cut all the way back to the K member but I didn't do that to mine.

I cut them off flush at the radiator support
Also I took off the plastic air deflector and cut off the piece of metal that it attatched to. You can see in the pic below along the bottome of the radiator support.
Also you can cut off the crush zone under the fenders, you can also see in the pic.
