Default Launching Technique

I was wondering if it would be better to launch at 0 rpms or revving to 2500 and slipping the clutch? i dont see the advantage of revving it, then again i am a beginner, i am on street tires and fresh off a cam install and underdrive pulleys. Can someone please explain the "slip the clutch" method to a beginner please

Its been a while but I think back when I ran on street tires I'd rev it to about 1500 and let out the clutch. The best I ever did was a 1.9 on Firestones.

try it both ways.. depending on your setup and the track, both have advantages.. go to test and tune at the track and play with your launch and tire pressure, to find what works best.. good luck

When my car was stock and I ran it on the stock tires, I reved it to about 2800-3000 and let out the clutch as fast as I could without spinning and kept my foot in the same spot till I was moving then floored it.

No what is worse than that is to see people run like 5 psi on a 26x10.5 then spin like crazy and think they are making **** loads on power with their 300 hp car.

Worse than that is FWD import cars on stock radials with like 15 psi like it is going to hook like a slick aired down
